Birch Craft

This is an opportunity to investigate the potential of our local birch trees as a source of artistic and practical materials. Bark, twigs,  roots and leaves will be used to create a range of mini-projects including baskets, flowers and decorations.

Bryce Reynard is a retired professional forester and an enthusiastic tutor. He will show the wide range of things that can be made from birch. The class is limited to a maximum of 8 participants and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on receipt of a booking form and payment. The workshop will run from 10 am to 4.30 pm and will cost £50. There will be an additional cost of £5 for materials, payable to Bryce on the day. The class is aimed at anyone with interest and enthusiasm; no previous experience is necessary. Tools and materials are provided, but a list of suggested household items to bring will be included with your joining instructions.
